Roncagliolo said this is a "very positive" response to the initiative of writers Mario Vargas Llosa of Peru and Jorge Edwards of Chile, who are calling for the strengthening of bilateral relations.
"This is very positive. The aim here is to reinforce the government's commitment to abide by the ruling of the International Court of Justice and I think that the entrepreneurs’ message goes in that direction, I believe it is very positive for both countries," he told Andina.
Roncagliolo said that one of the many ties that links the Peruvian and Chilean societies is the business sector, as evidenced in the "remarkable" increase in bilateral investments.
As an example, he noted that both countries currently work on a coordinated and adequate approach to the Asia-Pacific markets, taking advantage of their strategic position in the region.
