Peru's export and tourism promotion agency PromPeru will participate in the China-Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica on November 26-27, 2013.

According to a statement from PromPeru, the China-LAC Business Summit is one of the most important business meetings in the region and it aims to promote and strengthen trade and investment opportunities for both sides.

The two-day event is held annually since 2007, with the venue alternating between China and a Latin American or Caribbean country.

With its participation in the meeting, PromPeru looks to "consolidate the institutional relationship with other agencies that promote exports, investment and tourism in the region, with the aim of exchanging experiences on best practices and promoting trade with China."

PromPeru will take part in a panel discussion entitled "Opportunities and challenges of the Trade Promotion Offices (TPOs) in developing a trade and investment relationship between LAC and China."

Trade relations between China, Latin America and the Caribbean are becoming closer and more solid, proof of this is the tremendous growth in trade and investment between these regions in the last decade.
