With this initiative, which runs until October 15th, Peruvians will visit the country’s central regions of Ancash, Junín, Pasco, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Ucayali and Lima at an affordable price, Peru’s Deputy Minister of Tourism Claudia Cornejo reported.
She stressed that this campaign is expected to generate 1.2 million visits to these regions, generating about US$ 100 million.
Cornejo explained that tour packages on half price will also be valid for two long weekends: from August 30 to September 2 (public holiday) and from October 6 to 8 (national holiday).
The aim of this campaign is to decentralize the domestic tourism, promoting the attractions of the said regions, seeking to increase the number of trips to these destinations.
