On behalf of the Spanish royal family, Prince of Asturias Felipe de Borbon will attend the inauguration ceremony of Peru's President-elect Ollanta Humala on July 28, Royal House of Spain reported.
Also, during his two day visit, the Spanish Crown Prince will hold a meeting with Peruvian President Alan Garcia.
Europe Press agency reported that on July 27 the Prince is to attend a dinner offered by Garcia to all foreign presidents who arrive in Lima.
On the next day, Prince Felipe is scheduled to take part of Humala’s inauguration at the Peruvian Congress and then attend a lunch offered by the new president to all foreign leaders in the Peruvian capital.
Through a royal decree, King Juan Carlos appointed Prince Felipe to represent the Spanish nation in the said ceremony.
