Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said the mausoleum containing remains of Shining Path terror group alleged members has to disappear.
“The bodies should be removed respectfully and, after that, the mausoleum must disappear,” he told the press after the ceremony marking Armed Forces Day in Peru.
According to the top official, an administrative error must have occurred, which resulted in the construction of such infrastructure, but an investigation will determine the responsible parties.
Local media has recently released a video of a large number of people carrying protest banners and walking in procession through the streets of Comas district.
It was a funeral cortège that was conveying remains of alleged terrorists to a specially erected mausoleum in the said neighborhood, where the bodies currently lay.
