Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski took part in the 2017 Fire Prevention Fair organized by the General Body of Peruvian Volunteer Fire Department (CGBVP).
Held at Campo de Marte park in Lima district of Jesus Maria, the event was intended to show firefighters in action and live demonstrations of their work.
While in there, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski urged citizens to drive motor vehicles safely in order to reduce road accidents.
“We have to be cautious at home, when [kids] playing with matches, fireworks, but mainly when driving out there; many accidents have been reported, we have doubled Spain figures and the number of vehicles on Spanish roads is six times higher than that of Peru. We have to work on it,” he indicated.
He also stressed the need of a new equipment for the Fire Department, whose members carry out special tasks and take risks in favor of the community.
Joined by First Lady Nancy Lange, the Peruvian leader observed tasks performed by members of the fire brigade when an emergency occurs.
