President Humala to attend launch of Trabaja Peru program

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala on Tuesday will witness the launch of Trabaja Peru program, to take place at Comas district in Lima.

According to the presidential press office, the ceremony is to be held at 12.00 hours (17.00 GMT).

Later today, at 14.00 hours, the head of State will chair a new meeting of the Council of Minister at the Government Palace.

The national employment program "Trabaja Peru", created by the Peruvian government expects to generate employment inclusion and would benefit about one million people until 2016.

Trabaja Peru will be implemented in the 24 Peruvian departments and will replace the Productive Social Emergency Program.

This program will generate decent work opportunities to combat the unemployment and underemployment in Peru.
