Early in the morning Peruvian President Ollanta Humala paid a special tribute to the people who lost their lives in the Paris terror attacks at the historical Place de la Republique (Republic Square) in the French capital.

The Peruvian leader paid floral tribute and observed a moment of silence in front of the Monument at the centre of the square, Symbol of the French Republic, where thousands of lighted candles have been left in memory of the victims.

Papers and banners are still left there to depict peace messages and protest violence and terror.

The Head of State shared the pain of French people and agreed that democratic values should always prevail over terror.

This way Mr. Humala began his second day of activities in France.

In the next few hours, he will leave COP21 talks for Toulouse in order to inspect the construction of Peru’s first Earth observation satellite system by Airbus Defense and Space.
