More than a month before Pope Francis' visit to the Inca country, the Presidential Office posted a welcome video in which unity among Peruvians is the top priority.
"Things turn out much better when Peruvians come together. Therefore, as we will receive the Pope, we have made arrangements to welcome him in the best possible way," a group of Peruvians said in the video.
The recording shows police officers, in charge of providing security during the stay of the Catholic Church's leading figure. Plus, it features volunteers, Civil Defense members and firefighters, who are responsible for prevention efforts.
According to the Presidential Office, this significant visit gives taxi drivers and tour guides the opportunity to deliver top-notch service.
"Let's get together and make Pope Francis feel at home. United for hope," concludes the clip.
Pope Francis will arrive in Peru on
January 18, 2018 as part of his first official visit to the South American country since his election in 2013.
As is known, the Vicar of Christ
expressed his wish to travel to the Andean nation last May, and his visit was officially announced a month later.
In addition to
Lima, the 80-year-old Pontiff's trip will include cities
Puerto Maldonado and Trujillo located in rainforest Madre de Dios and northern La Libertad regions, respectively.
