Pope Francis' activities during his trip to the Inca country on January 18-21, 2018 will include a mass service at Lima's Costa Verde seashore and a visit to the Lord of Miracles, the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP) informed Monday.
Announcement came in a press conference held at CEP headquarters during which Monsignor Norberto Strotmann and fellow religious authorities revealed the Pope's trip schedule.
As is known, His Holiness last May expressed his wish to travel to the Andean nation. His
visit was officially announced a month later.
Following is Pope Francis' schedule as released by CEP.
Arrival at Apostolic Nunciature aboard
Popemobile.
Friday 19: Breakfast with President Kuczynski and wife Nancy Lange at Government Palace.
Departure for
Puerto Maldonado (Madre de Dios region) before noon. Departure for
Trujillo (La Libertad region) in the afternoon.
Saturday 20: Activities in Trujillo (all day).
Sunday 21: Meeting with contemplative sisters at Lima's
Lord of Miracles Sanctuary.
Veneration of Peruvian Saints' relics at Lima Cathedral. Meeting with the Peruvian episcopate at Archdiocese of Lima.
Noon delivery of Angelus at Lima's Main Square.
Mass service at Costa Verde

Corresponding arrangements and preparations are already underway, led by Labor and Employment Promotion Minister Alfonso Grados.
Following Papal protocol, President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will visit
the Vatican in September in order to extend a personal invitation to His Holiness.
