Pope Francis in Peru: "It would be nice to see you at Las Palmas mass"

09:24 | Lima, Jan. 21.

His Holiness Pope Francis on Sunday morning prayed with thousands of worshipers gathered outside the Apostolic Nunciature in Lima and thanked those who will attend the Holy Mass at Las Palmas Air Base in the afternoon.

"God bless you a lot, thanks to those who plan to attend mass at Las Palmas. I know not everyone will be able to go, but if you can, that would be nice," Francis said from the balcony of the Vatican diplomatic post.

The Vicar of Christ thanked all the faithful who prayed with him to make this visit a blessing to all the people of Peru.

"May the blessing of Almighty God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be upon you. And, please, do not forget to pray for me. See you later," he concluded.

As is known, Pope Francis arrived in Peru last Thursday for a 4-day visit to the Inca country.
