After days of fear, pain and uncertainty, Lima's Santa Eulalia district and surroundings are slowly recovering as locals try to get back on track.
Last Sunday, heavy rains led to landslides in the said town located 50.7 kilometers northeast of Lima Metropolitan Area.
The disaster damaged 170 homes, Civil Defense's latest report revealed.
As heavy-machinery operators carry on with clearing works, town dwellers wrestle with the aftermath. Some plea for further aid from authorities to recover at least part of all their losses.
