Peruvian gastronomy to shine at Madrid Fusion Festival 2017

Peru's gastronomy will be present at the 15th Madrid Fusion International Summit to show why the Andean country is deemed as the World's Best Culinary Destination, Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (Promperu) informed.

The gathering will take place on January 23-25 at the Municipal Palace of Congresses, located in Madrid (Spain). 

For this edition, Peruvian cuisine will become the one that does not forget its roots, but evolves and surprises diners. Likewise, the national proposal will seek to consolidate and increase its agro-shipments to the Spanish market. 

Said gastronomic meeting will also serve to introduce young Peruvian chefs; among them, Jose Lujan stands out. He is a youthful cook and owner of the Chullpi, Taytafe and Ayasqa restaurants based in Cusco region. 

The event also will feature some Inca chefs residing in Spain such as Nicky Ramos (the Market Peru, Barcelona), Luis Arevalo (Kena, Madrid), Jhosef Arias (Piscomar, Madrid), Roberto Sihuay (Ceviche 103, Barcelona) and Jorge Muñoz (Pakta, Barcelona).

Peru's booth will rely on a reserved space to exhibit its main products exported to the Spanish market, including quinoa, mango, avocado, grapes, lucuma, aguaymanto, asparagus and olluco, among others.

Madrid Fusion is the most important platform for gastronomy in the European market; thus, it gathers the world's most prestigious chefs, who introduce the latest culinary trends to an audience of professionals from the gastronomy and catering industries.
