Summer Fancy Food 2012, which is the most important food festival in the United States, was held on June 17-19 in Washington.
This figure mark a 52.5 percent increase in business deals compared to the one recorded a year earlier.
Some of the Peruvian products that attracted attention during the event are the products made from coca leaves.
The companies also exhibited Andean grains and ready meals.
The 19 companies that participated in the three-day event include: Gandules, Machu Picchu Foods, Danper, Agrofrutos Trading, Oasis Olives, Sociedad Agrícola Virú, Ajeper, NWPI (Kaptive), Bodegas Perú, Vínculos Agrícolas, Qlinaria Perú (Shattell), Bodegas Unidas, Nedix, La Orquídea, Corporación Leribe, Praner, Innovaciones Alimentarias (Innalsa), Camposol and Cynara.
