Peruvian Ambassador Jose Luis Salinas Montes presented his credentials to Norwegian King Harald V, the Andean country's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
The event took place during a special ceremony held in Oslo last Wednesday.
Such credentials recognize the
appointment of Salinas as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Kingdom of Norway.
After extending Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's greetings to the Norwegian king, the Ambassador highlighted the opening of Peru's Embassy in Norway.
The said new Embassy will serve to promote bilateral relations, investments, trade and tourism, as well as to strengthen cooperation mechanisms in terms of environmental issues.
