Peru's sol ended unchanged Friday at PEN2.786 per U.S. dollar compared to the previous trading session.
So far this year, the sol has strengthened 0.50 percent against the U.S. dollar, having positive impact in the country's purchasing power.

In the last 12-month period, the Peruvian currency has neither risen nor fallen against the greenback.

Meanwhile, the BCR largely remained at the sidelines and did not intervene in the foreign-exchange market.

Also on Friday, the BCRP auctioned PEN 1 700 million overnight time deposit at an average rate of 3.04%
