Peru's sol finished stronger on Thrusday at PEN2.822 per U.S. dollar compared with PEN2.828 in the previous trading session.

So far this year the sol has depreciated 0.79 percent  against the U.S. dollar, having positive impact in the country's purchasing power.

In the last 12-month period, the Peruvian currency has weakened 0.28 percent against the greenback.

Meanwhile on Thursday, the BCR auctioned a one-year PEN100 million deposit certificate (CD BCRP) at an average rate of 3,59 percent.

The country's Central Bank largely remained at the sidelines and did not intervene in the foreign-exchange market today.
