Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (PPK) and Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular) head on Sunday night the first run-off debate in northern Piura region.

The official event started at 07:00 P.M. (local time) at National University of Piura's main auditorium.

During the 90-minute debate, both presidential candidates will present their proposals in six pre-defined blocks.

Sections are: vision for the country, decentralization and land-use planning; regional potential and competitiveness; natural resources management and handling of social conflicts; infrastructure; plus a final message to voters.

For the first time in Peru's history, candidates will face off in two debates ahead of run-off elections.

The second debate will take place in Lima on May 29th, a week before election day (June 5th).
