Huaral-styled Roasted Pork Festival is projected to take place in Washington D.C. (U.S.) in 2017, the city's Hotels, Restaurants and Related Establishments Association (AHORA-Huaral) Chairwoman Rosa Elena Balcazar announced.

"The roasted pork festival would be soon transferred to Washington D.C., in the United States," Balcazar stated.

She went on to add this traditional dish from said district will be also promoted in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Santiago (Chile) next year.

The AHORA officer estimated the town will close the year with a tourist increase leading to 150,000 visitors.

Said figure will surpass the 130,000 people registered in 2015, as a result of renowned food festivals linked to Roasted Pork, Pato en Aji (Spicy Duck) and Garcia Soup, among others.

Thanks to articulated efforts with other business guilds and institutions, she also projected Huaral will welcome around 170,000 visitors in 2017.
