Peru's President highlighted support from Congress

The extraordinary support provided by Congress to the Executive Power over recent days was highlighted by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

In order to reach progress, government branches should work together, the Head of State pointed out.

The economist also stated that a series of economic proposals will be submitted to Congress by the Executive. 

"I expect that such proposals will be supported by Parliament," the Head of Stated affirmed. 

In his two-day visit to the Heroic City, Mr. Kuczynski affirmed there is worldwide economic downturn. Thus, Peru needs to produce its own resources. 

In this sense, "we are going to submit constitutional and economic reforms in the following days," he added. 

First month in office

He also praised Parliament's approval of regulations required by the country, as well as granting the ministerial cabinet a confidence vote.  

"It has been a good first month," he underlined.

Likewise, he referred to travelling extensively throughout the country's interior, communicating with different regions and having "smooth communication" with the media.
