Peru's oil production stood at 45,900 barrels per day in July this year, up 8.4% compared to the same month in 2016, National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE) informed.
This rise was mainly due to Block 192's production ramp-up, SNMPE said in its latest Monthly Hydrocarbon Statistics Bulletin for August, 2017.
Likewise, July's output went up 3.7% compared to the previous month.
Four companies accounted for 66.3% of national oil production. CNPC Peru recorded the highest yield, as it reached 10,900 barrels per day.
The said company accounted for 23.7% of the country's total output, followed by Savia (17.2%), Pacific (16.4%), Pluspetrol (9.0%), GMP (7.4%), Sapet (7.0%), Cepsa (6.3%), and others (12.9%).
Natural gas liquids
On the other hand, production of natural gas liquids decreased 13.1% from July 2016 to 87,600 barrels per day in the same month this year.
This drop was explained by lower production at Blocks 56 (-26.2%) and 57 (-52.3%).
In addition, output in July fell 6.0% from a month earlier.
