The Peruvian Congress Chairman Luis Iberico assured he will undertake efforts, so the Peruvian Parliament regains people’s confidence.

In order to achieve the goal, he considered necessary to lower the confrontational attitude and display closeness to the citizens’ common problems.

“[…] we are going to undertake the major efforts, I will talk to the political parties, their spokespeople, and we are going to show closeness to the citizens and their common problems […],” he pointed out.

Peruvian Congress chose Luis Iberico as its new Chairman for the 2015-2016 period on Sunday. Following legislators will hold Vice-Presidencies: Natalie Condori, Mariano Portugal and Luis Galarreta.

“[Thus], our first commitment is contributing to governability, by building bridges of understanding, agreements [and] by putting mutual respect above all those differences, which strengthen democracy,” he told after being elected.
