The Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) objective is to reduce the impact of economic slowdown among those living in poor and extremely poor conditions, the head of this sector Paola Bustamante affirmed.

Remarks were made as she spoke about her office budget bill for fiscal year 2016.

Bustamante said Midis’ budget totals S/.4.3 billion (about US$1.28 billion), and is intended to reinforce social policies.

The money will be used to improve and expand health, education, water and sanitation services.

Likewise, it is intended to encourage the construction of infrastructures, among other things.
