17:40 Peru's main stock indexes close lower
 
Lima, Jun. 15 (ANDINA). Peru's main stock market indexes ended lower Friday, while shares of several blue-chip companies moved in opposite directions.

The Lima Stock Exchange's General Index declined 0.33% to close at 20634.18. The blue-chip Selective Index fell 0.82% to end at 29799.09.

Precious-metals mining company Compania de Minas Buenaventura SA lost 2.8% to end at $38.35, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

Copper mining company Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SAA decreased 2.2% to close at $37.

Companies that saw gains include base metals mining company Southern Copper Corp., which rose 3.4% to $30.60.

Financial-holding company Credicorp Ltd. ended 2.4% higher at $121.13. Credicorp owns Peru's largest bank, Banco de Credito.
