Peruvian Alexandra Grande participated in the Karate1- Premier League 2018.
The event took place in Paris on February 26-28 and featured 64 athletes from 45 countries.
Out of the five fights she joined at the sporting event, the 27-year-old managed to win three.
In this sense, she defeated Yu Choi Wan (China), Alisa Buchinger (Austria), and Veronika Kostovska (Macedonia).
However,
Grande was not able to edge out Xiaoyan Yin (China) and Laura Sivert (France) in the
repechage pool, thus ending seventh.
"[…] I have participated in five fights. I'm truly happy because of my performance and because I came too close to getting a medal […]," she said via social media.
It must be noted Grande is an outstanding athlete who belongs to the Top Peru Lima 2019 Pan American Games team.
