Renowned tenor Juan Diego Florez urged the international community to make donations in favor of fellow Peruvian citizens recently affected by natural disasters.
As is known, the South American country is currently at the mercy of heavy rains, landslides and floods.
"I would like to appeal to the sensibility of the international community to make a donation in order to relieve the suffering of those affected by the last natural disasters in Peru," Florez said.
"With this song, I want to say: we are here with you, Peru," he added.
In the said video posted on Facebook, the artist also sang the melody "Contigo Peru" (With you, Peru), thus calling for unity and solidarity to reign in the country.
As is known, Florez is considered Peru's top tenor.
