Peru’s Flores to race in Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge

Peruvian race car driver Ricardo Flores will compete in IMSA’s Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series scheduled for July 24-25 in Indianapolis, United States.
Professional racing driver is set to make his official debut in the above-mentioned championship after having completed an extensive training in the United States.

The Brickyard Sports Car Challenge is the name of the event that will mark his first appearance in this touring car racing series run by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).

“I target a place in the top ten of the race, and even consider the possibility of a top-five finish and seal the victory. Each race track gives us experience for the following ones,” Flores noted. 

The race will feature 70 cars, whose drivers will compete for 2 hours and 30 minutes around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track. Overall circuit length is 2.435 miles.

Flores has been in other car races run by FARA, Formula and Automobile Racing Association; SCCA, Sports Car Club of America, as well as the Nascar All American Whelen Series.
