Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfan —whose goal paved the way for Peru to qualify for a World Cup tournament after 36 years— has been chosen FC Lokomotiv Moscow's best player for third time in a row, as result of fans' votes.

According to FC Lokomotiv's website, the 33-year-old athlete was named his team's top player in December —an achievement he had also accomplished last October and November.

Farfan got a total of 10,206 votes from fans, accounting for 83.5% of total, followed by Aleksei Miranchuk (790 votes), Manuel Fernandes (634 votes), Alexander Kolomeitsev (340 votes), and Vladislav Ignatyev (248 votes).

It must be noted the Moscow team leads Russian Premier League's Table with 45 points, ahead of FC Zenit Saint Petersburg (37) and FC Spartak Moscow (37).

As is known, Farfan is one of the top Peruvian players. The recognition has been highlighted by Peru's national team via Twitter.
