Organized by inPERU, the Europe Investment RoadShow 2016 came to an end following meetings between the national business delegation and over 1,000 foreign investors in London (UK) and Madrid (Spain) on October 17-19.

This way, the event exceeded initial meeting projections: over 60 Peruvian representatives and close to 600 European investors.

"After four days of hard work, we go back to Peru with huge expectations regarding all the things we can achieve, particularly after representing our country in cities like Madrid and London," inPERU Chairman Francis Stenning expressed.

In terms of progress, Stenning went on to add this year's edition has been "one of the best along inPERU's history."

He also highlighted the Foreign Trade Minister's participation, who currently works on an FTA proposal with the UK following Brexit.

Likewise, Peru's National Confederation of Private Business Associations (Confiep) Deputy Chairman Oscar Rivera underlined the positive expectations generated by Peru's government.

In this sense, he stressed the Andean nation's initiative to resume public and private investment projects, as well as the boost expected in their development.

Arequipa regional Governor Yamila Osorio also took part in activities, presenting her region's US$6-billion investment project portfolio to Spanish investors. Such ventures represent an open door for foreign capitals to develop sectors such as the agricultural industry.

According to inPERU's Chairman, over 100 business meetings were held during the event, most of which addressed financial, infrastructure, mining, transport and communications sectors.

The business tour was led by Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros, Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde and Investing in Peru Association (inPERU) Chairman Francis Stenning.
