Peruvian Culture Minister Salvador del Solar will travel to New York City to take part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Ancient Civilizations Forum on September 21st.
The minister's trip was authorized by a
supreme resolution published in El Peruano official newspaper on Tuesday.
His participation comes in response to an invitation from the Greek Embassy in Lima.
The meeting became imperative in view of the need to strengthen international cooperation with international bodies like the United Nations Organization for Education,
Science and Culture (
UNESCO) and the United Nations (
UN).
While in there, Del Solar will meet a
New York Public Library official on September 22 to discuss issues on the establishment of public library networks and the development of cultural activities.
Energy and Mines Minister Cayetana Aljovin will take over the Culture portfolio as of September 21st, while Del Solar is absent.
