Peru's Congress Chairwoman meets with Chile's Senate President

A Chilean Senate delegation, led by its Chair Ricardo Lagos Weber, paid a visit to Peruvian Congress Chairwoman Luz Salgado on Tuesday morning.

The nearly one-hour meeting took place behind closed doors at Lima-based legislative palace.

The audience also featured hosting Congress' Vice-Chairwoman Rosa Maria Bartra, as well as Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Juan Carlos del Aguila. 

Likewise, the gathering saw the presence of Peru-Chile Parliamentary Friendship League Head Guillermo Martorell, as well as legislators Paloma Noceda and Miguel Castro (Fuerza Popular party).

The Chilean delegation was composed of Senators Jorge Pizarro Soto, Francisco Chahuan Chahuan, Hernan Larrain Fernandez and Juan Pablo Letelier Morel. 

Afterwards, guests toured the legislative palace, including the Chamber of Sessions and the photo gallery featuring former chairs. 

A Peru-Chile Bilateral Cabinet will take place on January 27 in Southern Arequipa region.
