Peruvian soccer star Claudio Pizarro is the foreign athlete, who has won most soccer tournaments while playing for a German team.
This weekend, Pizarro managed to claim his 18th Cup because his team the F.C. Bayern Muenchen has become the Champion of the 2014-2015 Bundesliga season.
So far, the ‘Andean Bomber’ has won Bundesliga tournaments in the following years: 2003, 2005, 2006, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
In 2013, his team managed to take the UEFA Champions League Trophy to Muenchen, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
In 2012, he had claimed the DFL-Supercup.
Among other victories are having won the DFB-Ligapokal in 2004; the DFB-Pokal in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2013 and 2014 and The International Cup in 2001.
Claudio Pizarro follows Bayern Muenchen’s players: Mehmet School (25 tournaments won), Oliver Kahn (23) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (22).
