El colegio Claretiano realizó una gran presentación en el certamen

The Peruvian chess delegation was crowned winner at the 2017 South American Festival of Youth Chess.

In this sense, Peru defeated Argentina and Brazil, which grabbed second and third places, respectively.

The Inca country claimed 7 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze medals, thus accumulating a total of 17 awards at the competition.

In this sense, FIDE Masters Jorge Pacheco and his son Garri Pacheco, as well as Tutor Diego Villanueva praised the efforts undertaken by the pupils.

This year's sporting event took place in Luque on December 1-6.  

It must be noted the 2018 Latin American Chess Cup will kick off in the Inca country's capital city of Lima on January 29, 2018.
