The Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) main activities kicked off at the facilities -especially prepared for the occasion- inside the Cultural Center of the Nation in Lima district of San Borja.
On Monday, the circuit consisting of Lima Convention Center, Banco de la Nacion building, National Museum, Grand National Theater and National Library of Peru witnessed the latest hustle and bustle of delegations’ arrivals and was subject to strict security measures.

Yesterday, a series of private meetings took place and participants were welcomed to the rhythm of Peruvian folk dances. Other people toured the facilities of the aforementioned places.
At the same time, journalists from all over the world issued their first statements about this important economic meeting, which returns to Latin America after 48 years.
