Peru's First Vice-President Martin Vizcarra presented credential letters to the Governor General of Canada Julie Payette in the capital city of Ottawa on Monday.
Via Twitter, the former Transport and Communications minister shared highlights from the presentation ceremony.
Likewise, Vizcarra pointed out Canada is an important partner of Peru and that he will take up diplomatic duties without neglecting his obligations as First Vice-President.
