Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's upcoming meeting with United States counterpart Barack Obama will serve to discuss various economic and political matters, Peruvian Ambassador to the U.S. Carlos Pareja informed.
As is known, both leaders will gather next month in Lima within the framework of APEC Leaders' Summit to be hosted by the Inca country.
The diplomat referred to the series of work meetings he held with U.S. government officials to pave the way for President Obama's visit to the Andean nation.
"President Obama's visit is being prepared with the utmost care… Topics to be discussed by the dignitaries will be investments, tourism, bilateral trade, as well as areas of common ground in democracy and human rights," he pointed out.
The bilateral meeting will also address the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
In this sense, the U.S. government expects its Congress to approve said trade instrument following the country's presidential elections, he noted.
Likewise, arrangements are in place to convene TPP member countries in order to promote approval among nations' corresponding parliaments.
