Several education centers, along with Cajamarca Provincial Municipality, participated in a colorful cultural parade thus marking the beginning of the Cultural Fusion Week: Two Worlds Encounter 2017.

Organized by the Provincial Municipality and supported by local enterprises, this event takes place in North-Andean Cajamarca region until November 19.

In this sense, the parade sought to promote tourism in such region through the "Two Worlds Encounter" initiative. As is known, Cajamarca represents a fusion of the Inca and Hispanic cultures after the Spanish conquest of said city on November 16, 1535.

Within this framework, the Cultural Fusion Week aims at attracting more tourists from Trujillo, Chiclayo, Piura, and Lima.

The most important activities during these days include: chasquis (messenger of the Inca Empire) race, Two Worlds Encounter reenactment, tourism and gastronomic fair, traditional dance festival and master conference, among others.

It must be noted the Cultural Fusion Week: Two Worlds Encounter 2017 involved a total investment of S/200,000 (about US$61,650).
