Peru's First-Vice President Martin Vizcarra stepped down as Transport and Communications Minister on Monday morning.
His resignation comes following questionings regarding Chinchero International Airport Project.
While standing next to President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski at Lima's Government Palace, the 54-year-old and former Moquegua region Governor confirmed his
resignation.
Nonetheless, Vizcarra will continue to serve as First Vice-President of the Republic.
