Peru will open Trade Offices (OCEXs) in Sydney (Australia), Hong Kong (China) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Andean country's Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Edgar Vasquez revealed.

"[...] we will open offices in Australia, Hong Kong and Argentina, but we will close those based in Ghana and Venezuela due to the complications seen in those markets," Vasquez affirmed.

To this end, he underlined a previous technical analysis was conducted to determine the current needs for the promotion of foreign trade, tourism and global scale investments.

"There are markets that have opened in an interesting way [...]," he said.

Likewise, the deputy minister highlighted Australia represents a significant opportunity for Peru's agro-industrial products.

Furthermore, he stressed a Trade Office (OCEX) in Hong Kong will contribute to promoting Inca products in China's southern areas.

Lastly, the official noted the Andean nation currently relies on 36 commercial offices abroad.
