Peru made a presentation featuring organic products in Tokyo (Japan), confirmed Peru’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur).

Those have been properly identified by Japanese technicians, and are part of a catalogue featuring high-exporting potential products, affirmed Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Magali Silva.

The head of Mincetur indicated the presentation is connected to a series of commercial promotion activities her portfolio has been developing in Japan.

More than 30 enterprises (food and beverage sector) from the Asian-hosting-country participated in the event.

The exhibit was based on the display of following products: Sacha Inchi, purple corn, chia, organic quinoa, panela, white cocoa, custard apple, lucuma, aguaymanto and carob tree.

The Peruvian products stood out for being “natural” and “organic.”

Besides, those have anti-aging benefits, which are much appreciated in the Asian region, she added.

The head of Mincetur affirmed the enterprises’ executives, who attended the meeting, could get information about the quality, packaging, among other topics.

Information regarding their nutritional values was also spread.
