Peru to attend central bank's meetings in Chile

The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) of Peru is set to attend the 12th Central Bank Treasurers’ Meeting and the 4th Meeting of Counterfeit Coin Experts, both events are due to take place in Santiago, Chile.

According to resolution released Monday by the BCR’s top board, the two gatherings are scheduled to be held from 6th through 10th October and both are sponsored by the Centre for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA).

At the five-day events, matters related to strategic planning in capital management, methodologies for recording counterfeits and communication aspects of the characteristics of the banknotes and coins will be discussed. 

As part of the Peruvian’s central bank policy, the entity’s staff is required to be updated on critical issues concerning the purpose and functions of the monetary authority.

So the manager of Current Management, Juan Antonio Ramirez, is authorized to participate in such meetings.
