Peru to attend 2nd ECLAC's Energy Ministerial Meeting

Peru's Energy and Mines Ministry (MEM) will participate in the 2nd Energy Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean states (CELAC), to be held in Jamaica, on October 24-25, 2013.
The gathering is aimed at promoting a comprehensive and sustainable development of mining and energetic activities in the region, as well as improving mechanisms for getting full use from the resources obtained with these practices.

Thus, MEM's director general of electricity, Luis Antonio Nicho has been authorized to represent Peru in this event.

Attending this regional conference will be senior officials representing other ECLAC's member countries such as Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, among others.
