Peru set for World Champs qualifier in Argentina

With the CSV 2014 Women's World Championship Qualification Tournament set to start Friday, Peru have their hopes set on earning the one remaining spot allocated to South America for next year’s big event in Italy.

Argentina, Peru and Colombia hope to join Brazil -  who won the South American Championship and the first CSV spot for the 2014 World Championships - next year in Italy. 

The matches will be played at the Aldo Cantoni Stadium where Peru and Colombia will play on Friday at 20:00. Argentina will play their first match on Saturday at 18:00 and will play against Peru on Sunday at 21:00.

Peru will participate with 13 players including setters Shiamara Almeida, Zoila La Rosa and Alexandra Muñoz;  middle players Yulissa Zamudio, Clariveth Illescas and Mirtha Uribe;  opposite player Raffaella Camet; wing spikers Karla Ortiz, Angelica Aquino, Angela Leyva and Grecia Herrada; two liberos, Vanessa Palacios and Fatima Acosta.

According to volleyball's world governing body FIVB, the Peruvian channel (www.frecuencialatina.com) will broadcast the matches in San Juan  through their website while Sunday's match will also be broadcasted by TyC Sports.
