The President of the Central Reserve Bank, Julio Velarde, projected public investment will grow by 12% this year, compared to its similar in 2014.
Likewise, he pointed out public investment will add 0.9% to GDP in the current year.
In 2015, Peruvian economy will grow by 4.8%, the BCR projected on Friday.
The government must focus on raising the public investments, since it has “a more important impact on national production,” he suggested.
Velarde was recently awarded the “Banker of the Year 2015” recognition by the international magazine The Banker.
The Banker belongs to the Financial Times editorial group.
