Peru's public investment projects amounted to S/.20.935 billion (about US$6.441 billion) in the period comprised between January and November 12th, 2015; the result is due to a series of relevant projects developed nationwide, Peru's Economy and Finance Ministry (MEF) reported.
It must be noted these amounted to US$ S/.20.481 billion (about US$6.301 billion) by November 5th, 2015.
According to MEF, the national government led project execution with investments worth S/.10.032 billion (about US$3.087 billion), followed by local and regional governments which spent a total of S/.7.137 billion (about US$2.196 billion) and S/.3.766 billion (about US$1.158 billion), respectively.
At the ministerial level, the Ministry of Transport and Communications led the central government's public investment execution chart with S/.4.716 billion (about US$1.285 billion).
The Ministry of Defense (Mindef) held the second spot thanks to projects, which amounted to S/.1.986 billion (about US$611 million) during the analyzed period.
RegionsLikewise, San Martin's Regional Government claimed the first spot since the region managed to execute projects worth S/.376 million (about US$115.70 million) over the same period.
LocalCusco's local governments captured the first position with an investment that amounted to S/.1.048 billion (about US$322.46 billion).
