As at May 19th, Peru's public investment amounted to S/7.197 billion (about US$2.180 billion), the Economy and Finance Ministry reported.
Such investment was executed by the three levels of government: national, regional and local.
Local governments headed the chart with S/2.934 billion (about US$889.09 million), followed by the national government with S/2.871 billion (US$870 million) and regional governments with S/1.392 billion (US$421.81 million).
By levels
At central-government level, the Transport and Communications Ministry led the ranking having executed projects worth S/.1.569 billion (about US$475.45 million), followed by the Defense sector (S/.265 million, about US$80.30 million).
Concerning regional governments, La Libertad region executed public investment projects valued at S/.228 million (about US$69.09 million).
