As at April 20, Peru's public investment amounted to S/4.684 billion (about US$1.443 billion), the Economy and Finance Ministry reported.
Such investment was executed by the three levels of government: national, regional and local.
Local governments headed the chart with S/2.233 billion (about US$688.14 million), followed by the national government with S/1.553 billion (US$478.58 million) and regional governments with S/898 million (US$276.73 million).
By levels
At central-government level, the Transport and Communications Ministry led the ranking having executed projects worth S/842 million (about US$259.48 million), followed by the Education Ministry with S/203 million (about US$62.56 million).
Concerning regional governments, Arequipa region executed public investment projects valued at S/89 million (about US$27.43 million).
