Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said his government does clean and honest work and this will continue until the end of his term.
“We will keep on discharging our obligations, there is a lot of work to do, and many political, bureaucratic and corruption related barriers have turned up; we will continue so until the end of this government,” he indicated.
The Peruvian leader monitored the progress made in drinking water and sewage system works implemented under the Valle Amauta 3 Scheme in Ate Vitarte district.
He reiterated one of his administration’s goals is to provide water and sewer services to Peruvian citizens.
Speaking from 25 de Julio human settlement, Kuczynski assured rivers and lakes will be cleaned up and that his administration will prevent wastewater from seeping into tributaries, as in the case of Lake Titicaca.
“Youth need to be taught civic education and get job opportunities,” he said.
He also referred to the importance of sports as he opened a soccer field built by Ate Vitarte Municipal Government.
Earlier today, he monitored water and sewer works at Señor de Muruhuay human settlement, where he stressed the need of a better urban planning in Lima, so that citizens can build houses in flat areas.
He said many people live in hard-to-reach areas as a consequence of land trafficking, lack of opportunities, and affordable prices.
In this sense, the 78-year-old believes the construction of the Barranca-Ica commuter train will be essential to populate flat areas in Lima.
Mr. Kuczynski was accompanied by his wife Nancy Lange and Sedapal Chairman Rudencindo Vega.
