Peru President to bring dialogue and work across the country

13:09 | Catacaos (Piura region), Jan. 11.

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will foster dialogue and work across the country this year to overcome obstacles and meet people's needs.

"My message is quite simple: dialogue and work, dialogue and work. That is what we are going to do all over Peru," the Head of State said from Piura, where he paid a visit to inspect works in areas ravaged by Coastal El Niño disasters.

This is his first regional trip of the year, one of the many he is planning to make along with Edgar Quispe, head of the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes.

"We are working. Work and more work is what we want in Peru. We need to talk things through, in order to remove political obstacles to work. That's why we are discussing reconciliation, harmony, and more importantly, work," he added.

Mr. Kuczynski arrived in Piura region to hand over houses and a modular bridge in Catacaos district. The works are part of the Reconstruction with Changes Plan.

Likewise, he monitored prevention roadworks in the area.

The statesman was joined by Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz, as well as Ministers Bruno Giuffra (Transport and Communications), and Carlos Bruce (Housing, Construction, and Sanitation).

The activity also featured Piura Governor Reynaldo Hilbck and Head of the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes Edgar Quispe.
