Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will attend today the peace deal signing between Colombia's government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in Cartagena de Indias.
As is known, Mr. Kuczynski arrived in Colombia last Sunday.
Such agreement represents a positive impact in terms of peace and security for Latin America.
Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna, Interior Minister Carlos Basombrio, Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Nestor Popolizio, as well as Peruvian Ambassador to Colombia Ignacio Higueras will comprise the presidential entourage in Colombia.
On Monday, the Head of State will attend a religious ceremony offered by Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos.
Such ceremony will be held at 12:00 (local time) at San Pedro Claver Church, located in the city’s historic center.
The economist will attend the protocol ceremony of peace deal signing between President Santos and FARC Chief Rodrigo Londoño, set to take place at 17:00 (local time) at Julio Cesar Turbay Convention Center.
This final peace agreement is the result of years of negotiations aimed at putting an end to the military conflict which had extended during 52 years.
Once this historic event ends, the 77-year-old and his entourage will head back to Lima at 18:30 (local time).
Likewise, international community leaders are expected to convene in Cartagena to take part in the landmark ceremony.
